Fees

Hurstville Highpoint Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. We bulk bill Medicare card holders with a concession card, except the conditions stated in the private bill section (No 5), and children under 16-year-old. Medicare holders without a concession card will be bulk bill for a standard consultation for a pre-booked weekday appointment only.

Because the amount set by the Government for a consultation is insufficient to cover the costs of providing a high-quality medical service, privately billing applies for adult patients without a concession card in the following consultations:

  1. Walk-in patients (without an appointment) on the weekday.
  2. Seeing a doctors on the weekends
  3. For a long consultation (20 – 40 minutes) including complex consultations, mental health care plan, or cervical cancer screening.
  4. Some special services include procedures (ask front desk for more information)
  5. All patients for prolonged consultations (more than 40 minutes)

Our policy is that payments are to be made on the day of consultation. Accepted payment methods include cash, EFPOT, and Credit Card (surcharges applies).

We have absorbed the increases in operational costs of running our practice over the years and have our fees at a reasonable rate. Our fees reflect the time taken and the degree of complexity of each consultation. An updated practice fee schedule is displayed at the receptionist area or please contact us for the most updated private fee schedule on 02 8065 9618 or 02 9580 1964 and to make your next appointment.

Thank you for your cooperations.
